Bible Study GroupsThese groups meet twice a year, in the Spring and Autumn, usually running once a week for four or five weeks. They offer different days and times for each group, which allows people to choose the best time for them. Each group is led by two people and is run so that everyone can participate in the study with plenty of time for questions and ideas. They meet to study the Bible following the same material. Prior to the studies, all the leaders meet to decide what we would like to study in the Bible. There are very good interactive study guides, which we can use to help us plan each session, which are designed for smaller groups. Last year, we studied 'Walk This Way', a set of eight studies on Ephesians. It showed us the greatness of God in what he has done for us in Christ. It told us that being a Christian is never insignificant. Being a Christian puts us with Jesus Christ at the very heart of the universe. We are looking forward to this
year's studies, when we will be studying 'The Good Living Guide', a set
of eight studies on the Beatitudes. It is important to say that we go
to Bible study because we want to know more about the Bible and not because
we know all about it. If you are interested in knowing more about the
Bible, do speak to one of the leaders about joining us this year. Janet White |
