TJI-Sunday - Youth Group Annual Report 2002

You Need Paddles And A Head For Heights
TJI-Sunday has had a fantastic year. Biking, bowling, club nights and parties. Notable highlights were the canoeing trip and the London Eye.

On the canoeing trip everyone, even those not actually out on the water, got extremely wet thanks to a rather sever thunderstorm. Our second annual outing to London proved to be extremely popular and we were able to have a complete cabin to ourselves on the Eye. You can see pictures and reports of these and other events on the notice board in the parish room and on the web site.

The summer event this year was based on a series of craft and activity workshops running during August in conjunction with the usual pool, snooker and table tennis. These were well supported and we are extremely grateful to the help we received to run these.

In the coming year we will continue to provided a similar pattern of monthly meetings and special events.

The Group
TJI continues to attract people from the church congregation, from the Parish and beyond. There is now a core group of younger people joining or about to join that will ensure good numbers in the future.

The leaders continue to work well together and ensure that the events can take place safely and enjoyably. We are also supported by additional helpers without whom some of the events may not have been possible.

We have the budget to purchase some new equipment soon to replace, for example, the bulky table tennis table that requires the blue tables to support it that are themselves being replaced by new folding tables.

TJI-Sunday is for anyone aged 10 to 17 years old and usually meets on the second Sunday of the month at Holy Trinity or out and about.
