Annual Report
We have had another busy year,
although numbers continue to vary each week.
Children's activities are planned
using The Complete Children's Liturgy Book which provides us with the
Common Worship three year lectionary, that way the children are learning
about what is being preached in the Church. There are plans to possibly
change the resources which are currently being used by the Junior Church.
This is a good idea as it will give the children newer activities and
material to work on.
The Summer Club, starting at
the end of July and running until the beginning of September, is a way
of bringing all of the Junior Church groups of Holy Trinity together to
work on a planned theme for six weeks. Led by a Junior Church leader,
with the help of others, the theme for this year was Food from the Bible,
which was enjoyed by all. Thanks to everybody who was involved in planning,
leading and helping with this years Summer Club.
In September, the start of
the new school term, we lost a few children to the older group, but have
gained one or two from the younger group.
As with the whole Church, the
group was shocked and saddened by Margery Heskins' sudden and tragic death
in September.
