Youth and Children Task Team Annual Report
This Task Team usually meets
every three months, and receives reports from Junior Church / Sunday School
and Toddler Time, plus Christ the King 'Praise Together' Service.
We cover all aspects of work
with young people - from toddler to adulthood, and report to the Parochial
Church Council. It is the responsibility of the Task Team to see that
Church groups are implementing Child Protection and Health and Safety
practices wherever young people are involved. The Task Team also acts
as a discussion forum for all aspects of ministry to young people.
Young people of our parish
are involved in lots of ways; Sunday School, Toddler Time, Heavenly Bells,
Praise Together, Christmas - Starlight Carol Service raising money for
Children in Distress, Holy Trinity Choir, Playing piano at Christ the
King, Serving at Holy Trinity and Christ the King, Help at events such
as Harvest Supper and Quiz night.
Unfortunately, due to irresolvable
differences in the future vision for the TJI Youth Group, it was brought
to an end. The Task Team is currently discussing Youth Provision now that
Rev'd. Geoff Tickner has joined us.
There are currently eleven
members of the Task Team, and three meetings were held during 2002 / 2003.
Rev'd. Geoff Tickner joined the Task Team in September.
Finally, the Task Team would
like to thank those who volunteer their valuable time to work with the
young people of our Parish.
