Junior Church (middle group)

The middle group of Junior Church covers children of school years 3, 4 and 5. We have a small but regular band of young people attending, having lost a number to the senior group this year. Our activities are based on the Gospel readings from the lectionary, and include craft, discussions, Bible readings, quizzes and (if we are not too loud) music. We have access to a wide range of resources, both book and internet based. With the move to Common Worship within the church, we are revising our programme, better to follow the new lectionary. Several of our young people were presented for confirmation last year. The leaders of this group continue to work on a rota basis, but other demands on time are taking their toll. If anyone is interested in joining our team, we would be pleased to welcome them. Janet Anderson, Janice Apthorpe, Judy Crook & Lee Slater.

We do not have as many children this year at our Sunday school, but we do have a regular group of children who have enjoyed working from the ‘New Roots’ books. The children still attend the workshops which are run by Anne Price, and are a regular part of our worship at Christ the King. Sue Benford
